Hiroshi Nagahama: 'We Will Do a Sequel' for The Reflection Anime

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Collaboration anime between Stan Lee, Studio DEEN premiered in July

At a stage presentation for Stan Lee and Hiroshi Nagahama's The Reflection television anime series at Tokyo Comic Con on Saturday, Nagahama said "We are trying to make a sequel. We will do it!" He added that he thinks Lee will make an announcement for it at a later date. Nagahama said regarding the sequel, "I want to delve into the stories of various heroes."

Studio DEEN collaborated with American comic pioneer Stan Lee (Spider-Man, X-Men, Heroman) and his Pow! Entertainment company for the project. Lee is credited with the original work, and Pow! Entertainment and Studio DEEN are credited with the project planning. Hiroshi Nagahama (Mushi-Shi, Flowers of Evil, Detroit Metal City) co-created and directed the series at Studio DEEN, and he also provided the original character designs.

The anime premiered on July 22 and had 12 episodes. Crunchyroll streamed the series with English subtitles, and Funimation streamed an English dub. Lee played himself in the dub.
