Akuma no Memumemu-chan Anime Short Streamed

"Only slightly erotic comedy" manga's game debuted in December

Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ website began streaming the first anime short adaptation of Keitarō Yotsuya's Akuma no Memumemu-chan manga on Tuesday.

The video begins with male high school student Hyōta ogling his buxom female classmate Anzu. Succubus Memumemu-chan is on the scene to harvest his soul, but Hyōta berates her. Memumemu-chan is overwhelmed, and the experience does not go smoothly for either of them as Hyōta yearns for Anzu's affection. The video ends with text that reads, "The End?"

Seiya Numata (White Album 2, episode director for Scrapped Princess, Sket Dance) is directing the anime at studio SHAFT, and Rina Iwamoto (key animator for Chaos;Child, Terraformars) is the character designer. The anime stars:

The Gambare! Memumemu-chan smartphone game also launched on December 15, and it follows Memumemu-chan as she comes of age. The wraparound jacket band on the manga's fourth compiled book volume announced on December 4 that the manga would receive a series of anime shorts as well as a smartphone game.
