Ryo Ikuemi Ends Watashi Sora Anata Watashi Manga

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Manga about family running beauty salon launched in 2014

The March issue of Gentosha's Monthly Comic Birz magazine published the final chapter of Ryo Ikuemi's Watashi Sora Anata Watashi (Me-Sky-You-Me) manga on Tuesday.

The manga's story centers on the Adachi family: the mother Kurumi, who runs a beauty salon at her home with her two daughters Ringo and Anzu. The family welcomes two new people to their family. The first is Remon Suzuki, the daughter of Kurumi's ex-husband by a different woman. Left with no other relatives, Remon is welcomed by the Adachi family. The second is Izumi, a former salaryman who seeks employment at the salon.

Ikuemi launched the manga in Gentosha's Comic Spica magazine in March 2014, but moved it to Monthly Comic Birz in March 2015. Gentosha published the manga's third compiled book volume in January 2017.

Ikeumi's Pops manga inspired an original video animation (OVA) in 1993. JManga previously published her Cousin manga in English.

Ikuemi's Principal manga is inspiring a live-action film adaptation that opens in Japan on March 3. Ikuemi launched the manga in Shueisha's Cookie magazine in 2010, and ended it in 2013. Shueisha published seven compiled book volumes for the series.
