M&C! Licenses Can't Not Love, Boyfriend Requirement Manga

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Mikko Komori's I Love You Baby manga also licensed

M&C! announced last Friday that it has licensed Yū Yoshinaga's Can't Not Love (Koi ni Naranai Wake ga Nai), Kaori Matsumoto's Boyfriend Requirement (Boyfriend no Jōken), and Mikko Komori's I Love You Baby manga. The publisher will begin releasing all three manga on September 19.

M&C! describes the Can't Not Love manga:

It's the same day, day in and day out, in a series of boring repetitions. Until Hajime entered my life. Hajime said to me, "I like the frank Nene-chan. Never change." He made my heart pound. I wanted to be with him. For that sake, I am willing to become someone who is worthy to be by his side. This is what I'll do for love.

Yoshinaga launched the manga in Shogakukan's Betsucomi magazine in October 2016. Shogakukan published the manga's fourth compiled book volume on August 24.

M&C! previously published Yoshinaga's It's Annoying But I Love You (Kuyashii Kedo Kimi ga Suki), Teens House, First Love Asterism (Hatsukoi Asterism), Fall in Love With You (Kimi to Koi o Shitta), My Boyfriend in 16 (Koibito wa 16-sai), First Love Stories (Hatsukoi Hakusho), One-Sided Love (Kataomoi no Mukōgawa), Distance to a Kiss (Kiss Made no Kyori), and The Loved Ones (Suki na Hito no Suki na Hito) manga.

M&C! describes the Boyfriend Requirement manga:

Rin Arimura, a first-year high school student, has always wanted a high school life of being popular, having lots of friends, and dating cool guys! But she ended up in a class comprised entirely of delinquents.

To add insult to injury, she has earned the ire of Chiaki Igarashi, the resident quiet but easily angered guy of the class. This is a collection of love stories that will make you smile, cry, and be excited again!

The book collects three one-shot manga that Matsumoto published in Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret magazine. In addition to the title story, the manga also contains the "Anna-chan no Wana" (Anna's Trap) and "Iroha ni Ai o" (Love for Iroha) one-shot manga.

Shueisha published the book in April 2015.

M&C! previously published Matsumoto's Why He Doesn't Have A Girlfriend (Kare ga Kanojo o Tsukuranai Riyū) one-shot manga collection.

M&C! describes the I Love You Baby manga:

Mirei's natural beauty has also led her parents to be naturally protective of her. She has never been allowed to go outside, and she is required to go home immediately after school finishes. Until one day, she meets Tomo, a really, really short guy... smaller than her, in fact. But it is Tomo who first instills courage in Mirei's heart.

Komori launched the manga in Shueisha's Margaret magazine in January 2014. Shueisha published the manga's fourth and final compiled book volume in May 2015.
