Dragalia Lost RPG App's 2nd History Video Streamed

The official YouTube channel for Nintendo and Cygames' new action RPG smartphone game Dragalia Lost began streaming the second half of the game's "History of Humans and Dragons" introduction video on Friday. The first part streamed two weeks ago.

Nintendo describes the game's story:

Alberia... A kingdom where dragons rule over nature.
The Alberian royal family possesses the power of shapeshifting.
By forming a pact with a dragon, they can borrow its form and wield its immense strength.

One day, the kingdom is met with a strange and most troubling occurrence.
The power of the Sacred Shard that protects the city begins to weaken.
In order to protect his people, the seventh prince of Alberia, not yet pactbound with a dragon, sets out on what's known as the Dragon Choosing.

While he seeks a dragon to form a pact with, he'll meet new companions – including a mysterious girl from another time – and face a sudden and inexplicable change in his own father, the king.

Such are the chronicles of the bonds and battles that await the Dragonblood Prince.

The game will feature swipe-based controls. Characters transform into their contracted dragons and use various actions and skills to take on enemies. The gameplay will also feature co-op play for the game's main story, additional quests, events, and limited-time multiplayer raids. The co-op play will allow for players to team up with up to three other players. Players will be able to discover more than 60 fully-voiced characters for their party. The characters will have different weapon classes, combat abilities, and elemental properties.

The game's Japanese cast includes:

• Yukana as Notte (Nhaam in the Japanese version)
• Saori Hayami as Ellisanne (Elphyllis in the Japanese version)
• Katsuyuki Konishi as Ranzal (Ranzarve in the Japanese version)
• Yumi Uchiyama as Cleo (Clau in the Japanese version)
• Shintarō Asanuma as Luca (Lucas in the Japanese version)
• Kōichi Yamadera as Midgardsormr
• Aya Endō as Brunhild
• Kikuko Inoue as Mercury
• Minami Takayama as Jupiter
• Norio Wakamoto as Zodiark

The app will launch in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and the United States on September 27. The game will support Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese languages. Pre-registration for the game launched in April.

Nintendo will handle the game's release in North America and Europe. The company has been co-developing the game with Cygames, and both companies will jointly operate the game.
