posted on by Karen Ressler
Uzumaid! now available

Crunchyroll announced on Friday that it will stream the Uzamaid! (Uchi no Maid ga Uzasugiru!) and Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san (Gaikotsu Shotenin Honda-san) anime as they air in Japan.

Uzamaid! premiered on Crunchyroll on Friday in North America, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, South Africa, the Netherlands, and Latin America. New episodes will air on Fridays at 11:30 a.m. EDT.

Kanko Nakamura's Uchi no Maid ga Uzasugiru! (Our Maid is Way Too Annoying!) manga centers on Misha, a little girl who lost her mother at an early age, and now lives with her father. Her father employs a maid named Tsubame, who was a former Self-Defense Force official, and is also a lolicon.

Masahiko Ohta and Takashi Aoshima — the director and series head writer, respectively, of Himouto! Umaruchan, Gabriel DropOut, and Mitsudomoe — are reuniting in the same roles for the new anime at Doga Kobo (Himouto! Umaruchan, Himōto! Umaru-chan R, Gabriel DropOut). Jun Yamazaki (Three Leaves, Three Colors) is designing the characters. Haruka Shiraishi and Manami Numakura are performing both the opening and ending theme songs as their respective characters.

Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san will stream worldwide outside of Asia on Crunchyroll. The 12-episode anime will premiere in Japan on Sunday, October 7 at 24:30 (effectively 12:30 a.m. on Monday morning) on BS11.

Owl Todoroki is directing the series at DLE, and Shin Okashima is writing and overseeing the series scripts. Naoko Kakiki is the character designer, Yuichi Imaizumi is the sound director at Half HP Studio, and TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND is composing the music at Lantis.

TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND feat. Honda (voiced by Saitō) is performing the opening theme song "ISBN ~Inner Sound & Book's Narrative~," and TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND feat. Hiroshi Takano is performing the ending theme song "Book-end, Happy-end."

The original comedy manga by Honda centers on a skeleton named Honda who works in a bookstore. Hilarity ensues daily in his work at the shop's manga counter.
