Mob Psycho 100 II Anime's Episode 1 to Screen in U.S. Theaters

Crunchyroll announced on Wednesday that it is teaming with Fathom Events for more installments in its Crunchyroll Movie Night theatrical event series in 2019. The first event for their collaboration will be a theatrical premiere of the first episode of Mob Psycho 100 II, along with the Mob Psycho 100 REIGEN: The Miraculous Unknown Psychic anime and a greeting from voice actor Setsuo Ito (Mob).
The screening will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 12:55 p.m. local time at more than 500 U.S. theaters. Tickets are on sale now for Crunchyroll subscribers and will go on sale for general audiences on Friday.
The Anime NYC convention already hosted the world premiere of the anime in November. In Japan, the anime will premiere on Tokyo MX on January 7 at 11:00 p.m., before airing an hour later on BS-Fuji. The anime will then premiere on ABC TV on January 10. Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs.
The staff at BONES is returning from the first season to work on the second season.
The anime's first season premiered in Japan in July 2016, and Crunchyroll streamed the series with English subtitles as it aired in Japan. Funimation streamed an English dub for the anime and released the series on home video. The series joined Adult Swim's Toonami programming block on October 27.

Kageyama Shigeo (a.k.a. Mob) is an 8th grader with powerful psychic abilities. Workingunder his not-so-capable master, Reigen, Mob uses his powers to exorcise evil spirits. But his will to be normal causes him to suppress his powers and feelings until he hits 100 percent — a point where his pent-up emotions are unleashed and a darker power takes over.
The Mob Psycho 100 REIGEN: The Miraculous Unknown Psychic (Mob Psycho 100 Reigen: Shirarezaru Kiseki Reinōryokusha) event anime centers on Mob's master Reigen as he gets the idea to write an autobiography. The anime compiles the earlier television anime but "about 25%" of the event anime is new footage. It debuted in an event in Japan in March and is streaming on Crunchyroll.
ONE (One-Punch Man) launched the manga on Ura Sunday in 2012 and later in Shogakukan's Manga ONE app in 2014. Shogakukan published the manga's 16th and final compiled book volume on July 19.
