Venus Versus Virus Creator Ends Hōkago Kagura Vibes Manga

The April issue of Kadokawa's Shōnen Ace magazine revealed on Tuesday that Atsushi Suzumi's Hōkago Kagura Vibes (After School Kagura Story) manga will end in the magazine's next issue on March 26.
Yūki Matsuda, a member of the city of Akitakata's commerce, industry, and tourism division, is credited with cooperation on the manga. The manga centers on a scary-faced high school student named Gō, who transfers to Hiroshima and tries to use the chance to change his image, but he fails and becomes a loner once again. But then, his classmate Isuzu forces him to join the "Kagura" club, which focuses on the kagura theatrical dance style of Shinto.
Suzumi launched the manga in Shōnen Ace in February 2018. Before it launched, the manga had the tentative title of Tengai Cloud. Kadokawa published the manga's first compiled book volume last July.
Suzumi ended the manga adaptation of Kōhei Azano's Tokyo Ravens light novel series in July 2017, and the 15th and final volume shipped in September 2017. Suzumi launched the manga in Monthly Shōnen Ace in 2010. BookWalker has released 11 volumes of the manga digitally in English.
Seven Seas Entertainment released Suzumi's eight-volume Venus Versus Virus manga in English. The manga inspired a 12-episode television anime series that aired in 2007. ADV Films and later FUNimation Entertainment released the anime on DVD. Del Rey published Suzumi's one-volume Haridama Magical Cram School manga in English in 2008, as well as the two-volume Amefurashi: The Rain Goddess manga in 2009.
