On Monday April 29, Anime Limited will release its Ultimate Edition of the Satoshi Kon psycho-thriller film Perfect Blue. At This Time, the product will be exclusive to the AllTheAnime.com site and Zavvi.

The new extras will include three video lectures given by Satoshi Kon on Perfect Blue; the soundtrack to the film on CD: a 384-page A4-sized hardback book including Kon's storyboards for the film; and a 48-page A4-sized softcover book including artwork, layouts, rough sketches and character designs. The 1997 feature film was the directorial debut for Kon, who went to make Millennium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers, Paranoia Agent and Paprika before his death in 2010. Set in contemporary Tokyo, the story concerns a pop singer, Mima, who tries to develop an acting career, only to experience threats and traumas as her mind breaks down and she is tormented by a ghostly version of her singer self.

Anime Limited describes the story as follows:

"Mima Kirigoe is ready to leave her career as a pop idol behind and forge ahead towards a bright new future as an actress. However, casting aside her former image proves to be far more difficult than she imagined, and the murky world of show business threatens to drag her into the depths of despair.

"As the strains of her new career path take their toll, and a menacing presence from her pop star past lurks in the background, is Mima able to keep a firm grasp on the things that define her? And as delusions, fiction and reality blend together in her mind, just what is it that defines her anyway?"

MVM will release the film Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel I. presage flower on DVD. A Collectors Edition Blu-ray will follow on May 6.

Aniplex of America described the story of the film:

“IF I BECAME A BAD PERSON, WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO FORGIVE ME?”

Anime Limited will release a Blu-ray edition of the film K: Return of Kings. The official website for K: Return of Kings described the story of the new anime season:

In modern Japan, where history has strangely overlapped with reality. There, seven "Kings" with great superpowers existed. Along with their clansman to whom they shared their own power with, the kings each formed clans. Order bound by blue, red flames that cause chaos, irregularities that shine in white, and reforms branched off into green. The Kings, each with their own abilities, now...

The Blue King Reisi Munakata, the leader of the Blue Clan "Scepter 4," held great responsibilities on his back. The tower that Gold King Daikaku Kokujōji supervised called the Dresden Slate was still on his mind, and he felt a great burden by killing the previous Red King, Mikoto Suoh.

On the other hand, the former Red Clan "Homra" clansman Anna Kushina experienced the attacks from the Green Clan "jungle" and awakened as the next Red King. By doing this, she bound her comrades through a strong bond once again.

Finally, White Clan members Neko and Kuroh believe that the White King Yashiro is still alive, and seek his whereabouts. However, it was not just them searching for the White King. The Green King Nagare Hisui once again...

With "jungle" once again jumping back into action, the fates of the various Kings are brought together.

Shingo Suzuki served as the director and character designer for the new season at studio GoHands. Suzuki previously directed the first season and the K: Missing Kings sequel film. Yui Horie performed "Asymmetry" as the anime's opening theme, and CustomiZ performed "Kai" (Solution) as the ending theme.
