Gundam Wing Released Monday

On Monday August 26, Anime Limited will release the first volume of Gundam Wing as a Collector's Blu-ray, carrying the first 25 episodes. Gundam Wing premiered in 1995 and ran for 49 episodes. In 2000, it became the first Mobile Suit Gundam series to premiere on television in the United States.

The story takes place in the year After Colony 195, when war between the Space Colonies and Earth has begun. To give the colonies an edge, they send 5 young soldiers, trained to perfection, to earth in the most powerful of Mobile Suits—Gundams. With their arrival, the tide of the war changes as they battle against the Earth forces and the Colonies of their origin.

Anime Limited will also release the film Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt: Bandit Flower as a Collector's Blu-ray. This is the sequel to the previous Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt: December Sky film. Anime Limited has described the story:

"Earth, eight months after the end of the One Year War. Captain Monica launches a secret mission, Operation Thunderbolt, and selects Io to pilot the Atlas Gundam. She leads the assault landing ship Spartan into a part of the ocean effectively controlled by the South Seas Alliance. Their objective is to secure or destroy the data of the Psycho Zaku, which the Alliance now possesses.

"Daryl, who took the upper hand in his battle with Io, has descended to Earth as part of the remnant forces of the Principality of Zeon. Fighting alongside his new comrades, Io encounters Commander Peer, the South Seas Alliance's border garrison commander. In the sea, on the ice field, and among the thick jungle, the mobile suits of Zeon, the Federation, and the South Seas Alliance battle each other.

MVM will release the 12-part series Chivalry of a Failed Knight on Blu-ray. The "school sword action" story revolves around Magic Knights, modern magic-users who fight with weapons converted from their souls. Ikki Kurogane goes to a school for these Magic Knights, but he is the "Failed Knight" or "Worst One" who is failing because he has no magical skills. However, one day, he is challenged to a duel by Stella, a foreign princess and the "Number One" student. In this duel, "the loser must be obedient for life."

Shin Oonuma (Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, WATAMOTE) and Jin Tamamura (Invaders of the Rokujyōma!?) were director and series director respectively at the anime studios SILVER LINK and Nexus. Shogo Yasukawa (Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, Hyperdimension Neptunia, Terra Formars) was in charge of the series scripts, and Sei Komatsubara designed the characters.

Anime Limited will also release the second volume of Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online as a Collector's Blu-ray, carrying episodes 7 to 12 of the series.

Anime Limited will also release a standard Blu-ray edition of the second volume of Zeta Gundam, carrying episodes 26 to 50 of the series.
