Mob Psycho 100 II to also premiere on October 9

Animax Asia announced on Monday that it will air a simulcast of the television anime of Riku Misora and Sacraneco's High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even In Another World (Chōjin-Kokoseitachi wa Isekai demo Yoyu de Ikinuku Yōdesu!) light novel series, as well as the Mob Psycho 100 II: The First Spirits and Such Company Trip ~A Journey that Mends the Heart and Heals the Soul~ (Mob Psycho 100 Dai Ikkai Rei to ka Sōdansho Ianryokō ~Kokoro Mitasu Iyashi no Tabi~) original video anime (OVA).

High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even In Another World will premiere on Friday, October 4 at 8:30 p.m. GMT +8. It will premiere in Japan on Tokyo MX and AT-X on Thursday, October 3, on BS Fuji on October 8, and on Nagasaki Culture Telecasting Corporation on October 29.

Shinsuke Yanagi (And you thought there is never a girl online?, Angel's 3Piece, The Ryuo's Work Is Never Done!) is directing the anime at project No.9, with series scripts supervised by Deko Akao (Noragami, Flying Witch, After the Rain). Akane Yano (And you thought there is never a girl online?, The Ryuo's Work Is Never Done!) is designing the characters and is also the chief animation director.

Yen Press licensed the novels' manga adaptation for North America, and it describes the story:

In Japan, there are seven superhuman highschoolers who are world-class geniuses in various fields ranging from governance to economics and beyond. On one fateful day, these seven wind up in a plane accident and wake up only to find themselves in another world.

Finding themselves in a foreign place where magic and beast-people are real, they immediately proceed to panic-or at least that's what would've happened if they were some run of the mill students!!

If anything, these seven are actually using their talents to do absolutely ludicrous things so they can go home...

"Let's take it easy, because if we really let loose, I'm pretty sure we'll end up destroying this world."

Misora launched the novel series with illustrations by Sacraneco in 2015. The manga adaptation by Kōtarō Yamada launched in Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine in May 2016.

Mob Psycho 100 II: The First Spirits and Such Company Trip ~A Journey that Mends the Heart and Heals the Soul~ will premiere on October 9 at 10:00 p.m. GMT +8.

This year's Crunchyroll Expo hosted the world premiere of the anime on August 31. The anime debuted on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in Japan on September 25.

Crunchyroll and Funimation streamed the anime in North America, and it describes the anime:

Mob, Reigen, Dimple, and the newest member of the Spirits and Such Consultation Office staff, Serizawa, take a trip up to a secluded hot spring called Ibogami Hot Springs in Zebra Prefecture. Reigen happened to get a request from the matron there to discover the truth behind the strange rumors going around there and save the inn. Ritsu and Teru also join in on this trip and the six of them head out on this super relaxing trip to the hot spring. But on their way there, Reigen and Serizawa start nodding off on the train and somehow get sucked into an eerie parallel world...

The earlier television anime's first season premiered in Japan in July 2016, and the second season premiered this past January. Animax Asia aired both series as they aired in Japan.
