Sōryo-Waku Teens-Love Manga Prize Winner Announced With Anime Adaptation Prize

'I Want to Be Eaten by a Wolf' manga also gets serialization, print volumes

WWWave Corporation announced on Friday the winner of the "Anime-ka Kakuyaku! Sōryo-waku Sōdatsu Manga Taishō" contest for both amateur and pro manga creators. Musubi Onigiri's Ōkami-san wa Taberaretai (I Want to Be Eaten by a Wolf) teens-love manga won the award, and as a result the manga will get an anime adaptation. The manga will also get a serialization and compiled print volumes. Author Onigiri will also receive 500,000 yen (about US$4,620).

WWWave describes the manga's story:

"I want Akagashira-sensei to eat my 'first'!"

Ōkami had her skirt swiped by the rumored "skirt bandit." Her teacher Akagashira happened to be passing by and came to Ōkami's rescue. Akagashira took Ōkami home, but Ōkami had a real reason for bringing Akagashira there ... "Stuck with a girl in a room with the lights out, I … can't help myself!"

(Akagashira and Ōkami are wordplays on the Japanese terms for Little Red Riding Hood and wolf, respectively.)

The anime adaptation will be part of the "ComicFesta Anime" series of anime shorts that has been streaming and airing since April 2017.

Contestants in the contest had to submit a 16+ page original work in the "teens love," "boys-love," or danseimuke (aimed at male readers) genres. At least four pages of the submitted work had to be completed but the rest could have been in drafting stages.

The first runner up, ifpark's Jelly Slime Musume to Kashita Kōhai wa Amakute Tanyoku (The Underclassman Who Changed Into a Jelly Slime Girl Is Sweet and Greedy) manga, will receive 300,000 yen (about US$2,772) and will get a serialization run and compiled print volumes. The second runner up, Daiku Kuron's Akazukin-chan to Ryōshi-san no xxx na Okite (Little Red Robin Hood and Hunter's xxx Law) manga, will receive 100,000 yen (about US$924) and will also get a serialization run and compiled print volumes.
