No release date announced yet for both series

Indonesian publisher M&C! announced on Saturday and Monday that it has licensed Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari's Oshi no Ko manga, as well as Tsuna Kitaumi's Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Nyūgaku-hen manga.

Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and Yokoyari (Scum's Wish) launched the Oshi no Ko (My Stan's Kid) manga in Kodansha's Weekly Young Jump magazine in April 2020. Shueisha's will publish the manga's third compiled book volume on February 19.

The manga's story begins with Gorō, a doctor who coincidentally handles the childbirth of his favorite idol Ai Hoshino, who took a hiatus from the entertainment industry to give birth to her twin babies. However, just before Ai gives birth, Gorō dies from an accident, but is reborn as one of Ai's children, Aquamarine Hoshino, with his memories fully intact.

Tsuna Kitaumi serialized the Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Nyūgaku-hen (The irregular in magic high school: Enrollment Arc) manga in Square Enix's G Fantasy magazine from 2011 to 2013, and it adapts the first four volumes of the novels by Tsutomu Satou. The franchise has since then received further manga adaptations of further arcs in the novels from different manga creators, often published out of order from the novels.

Aside from the manga, Satou's novels have also inspired two television anime adaptations and an anime film.

Yu Mori's The Honor Student at Magic High School spinoff manga is getting a television anime this year. Mori launched The Honor Student at Magic High School manga in Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh in 2012, and ended the series in June 2020. Masaru Oda is drawing the sequel series Mahōka Kōkō no Yūtōsei 2nd Season, which will launch on Friday.

The franchise has 20 million copies in circulation. There are 100 volumes in the franchise, including light novels and manga.
