Aniplus Asia Airs Simulcast of Vivy -Fluorite Eye's Song-, Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress

Aniplus-Asia announced last week that it will air simulcasts for the Vivy -Fluorite Eye's Song- and Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress anime. It also revealed that its simulcast of Back Arrow will continue into the April-June quarter.

Vivy -Fluorite Eye's Song-, Wit Studio's original television anime, will premiere in Japan on April 3. Aniplus-Asia's simulcast will premiere on April 3 at 12:00 a.m. GMT +8. Aniplus-Asia describes the anime:

NiaLand is an A.I. theme park that blends dreams with hope and science. Vivy was created as the world's first autonomous humanoid A.I. to work as a cast member in the theme park. She gets on stage every day to sing, but she is not very popular.

“I want my singing to bring happiness to everyone.” Vivy continues singing in hopes of one day achieving her goal of performing on the theme park's main stage.

One day, an A.I. who calls himself Matsumoto appears before her. Matsumoto claims to be an A.I. from one hundred years into the future, and that his mission is to rewrite history with Vivy, in order to stop a war between A.I. and humans that would happen a century later. How will the encounter between these two A.I.s with such different missions change the course of the future?

This is a story of I(Vivy) destroying I(A.I.)... The one-hundred-year journey of an A.I. songstress named Vivy starts now.

Tappei Nagatsuki (Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, Warlords of Sigrdrifa) and Eiji Umehara (Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- episode scriptwriter, Chaos;Child) created the story and wrote the scripts. Vivy Score is credited with the original story. Shinpei Ezaki (Woodpecker Detective's Office) is directing the anime at Wit Studio, and Yūsuke Kubo is the assistant director. loundraw (Tsuki ga Kirei) is the original character designer, and Yūichi Takahashi is adapting those designs for animation and is also the chief animation director alongside Takuma Ebisu. Satoru Kousaki (BEASTARS, Lucky Star) is composing the music. Kairi Yagi is performing the show's opening theme song "Sing My Pleasure" as the character Vivy.

Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress, the new television anime series based on Bushiroad's Cardfight!! Vanguard trading card game franchise, will premiere in Japan on April 3. Aniplus-Asia's simulcast will premiere on April 3 at 6:00 p.m. GMT +8. The anime will also debut on the official Cardfight!! Vanguard YouTube channel with English subtitles on April 3.

Third-year middle school student Yu-yu Kondo lives in Kanazawa city of the country of Kaga.

Yu-yu has the ability to read the heart of others and is troubled by the fact that he is unable to reject requests. Often getting caught up in his sister's hobbies, Yu-yu could no longer take it and runs away from home. He is saved by Megumi Okura, who then invites him to a night amusement park called "Wonder Hill", where her friends gather.

At the amusement park, Yu-yu meets Megumi, along with Zakusa Ishigame and tomari Seto—members of "Team Blackout" who gather to play Vanguard every night.

Tonight, a serious fight with their Team Flag on the line will be held. Blackout's Leader, Danji Momoyama, will fight against the mysterious powerhouse fighter, Tohya Ebata. The cardfight gradually transforms into a scene on Planet Cray before Yu-yu's eyes.

This is how Yu-yu encounters Vanguard, and is drawn in by the appeal of the world and friends he has never seen before.

Manga creator group CLAMP is creating the character designs and Kinema Citrus is in charge of animation production. Bushiroad and artist Akira Itō are credited for the original work, and Bushiroad founder and representative director Takaaki Kidani is credited as executive producer. Ken Mori is directing the anime at Kinema Citrus. CLAMP is credited for the original character design, and Hiroyuki Saita (Revue Starlight) is drawing the character designs for animation.

Two bands from Bushiroad's BanG Dream! franchise are performing the theme songs. Roselia are performing the opening song "ZEAL of proud," while Argonavis are performing the ending theme song "Y."
