Muse Asia Streams The Detective is Already Dead, 'I, Tsushima' Anime

"I, Tsushima" streamed on Saturday, The Detective Is Already Dead on Sunday

Muse Asia began streaming the television anime of Nigojū and Umibōzu's The Detective Is Already Dead (Tantei wa Mō, Shindeiru.) light novel series on Sunday and the television anime of Opūnokyōdai's I, Tsushima (Ore, Tsushima) cat manga on Saturday.

The company is streaming both anime in India as well as Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Pakistan.

Muse Asia describes the first episode of the The Detective Is Already Dead:

A plane was hijacked 10,000 metres from the ground.
Young man, Kimizuka Kimihiko, was appointed by a mysterious girl that claims to be a detective, Siesta, and headed towards the cockpit.
There they met with someone who call himself with a codename, Koumori, who's taking the pilot as hostage.
Koumori asked Siesta to deduce the reason why he hijacked the plane, as a condition to release the hostages.

Manabu Kurihara (Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! character designer/chief animation director) is directing the anime at ENGI. Kazuya Miura and Shin'ichi Fukumoto are serving as the animation superivsor and the assistant director, respectively. Deko Akao (Arakawa Under the Bridge, Suppose a Kid From the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town) is in charge of the series scripts. Yōsuke Itō (Hensuki, Holmes of Kyoto, King's Game The Animation) is designing the characters. Yuuyu, Naoki Tani, and Tatsuya Yano are composing the music, and INCS Toenter is producing the music.

Musical artists Mary x jon-YAKITORY sings the opening song "Koko de Ikiteru." (We're Alive Here.), for which Vocaloid producer jon-YAKITORY also wrote the lyrics and composed and arranged the music. The "V artist" and illustrator Kagura Nana is performing the ending theme song "Kodō" (Heartbeat). Producer 40mP wrote the lyrics, and scored and arranged the music.

The anime premiered with a one-hour special on the AT-X channel on July 4 at 9:30 p.m., and then it will run on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, BS NTV, and TV Aichi, as well as on the dAnime Store and other streaming services in Japan.

Ore, Tsushima premiered on July 3 in the Super Animeism programming block on MBS, TBS, and their 26 affiliates, and will also stream on ASMIK Ace's YouTube channel. In addition, the anime will also have a companion web anime on YouTube with stories from the original manga that will not be in the television version.

The anime stars Akio Ohtsuka (One Piece's Blackbeard, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex's Batou) as the cat Tsushima and Mayumi Tanaka (One Piece's Luffy) as the elderly female character named Ojii-chan (grandfather).

Fanworks (Aggressive Retsuko) and Space Neko Company (Pop Team Epic, Gal & Dino) are producing the anime. Jun Aoki (Pop Team Epic, Gal & Dino) is directing the anime.

The manga centers on a woman who is getting on in years, but all her cats think she's a man so they call her Ojii-chan. One day a brazen cat named Tsushima appears in Ojii-chan's yard.

Shogakukan published the manga's third volume on October 22. An anime fanbook released in June. The series has over 420,000 copies in circulation.
