Odex Streams Trailer for 2nd Fate/Grand Order: Camelot Film

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Film opened with fan screening in Singapore on Saturday, general screening on August 12

Odex began streaming an English-subtitled teaser trailer last Friday for Paladin: Agateram, the second film in the Fate/Grand Order The Movie Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot (Fate/Grand Order Shinsei Entaku Ryōiki Camelot) film project. Odex screened the film in Singapore with a fan screening on Saturday, and it will have a general release on August 12.

The film was slated to open on May 8 in Japan, but was delayed by one week for a May 15 opening due to COVID-19 and the state of emergency declared in four prefectures. The film ranked at #5 in its opening weekend. As of June 6, the film has earned a cumulative total of 228,412,800 yen (about US$2.08 million).

The first film, Wandering: Agateram, opened in Japan on December 5. The first film had been delayed from its August 15 opening, due to the effects of COVID-19 on its production. The film opened in Vietnam on April 16.

The two Fate/Grand Order The Movie Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot films, Wandering: Agateram and Paladin: Agateram, adapt the "Dai Roku Tokuiten Shinsei Entaku Ryōiki: Camelot" (Order VI: The Sacred Round Table Realm: Camelot) story from the game.

Kazuto Arai (FLCL Progressive) directed the second film at Production I.G. Takashi Takeuchi (Fate anime franchise) was the lead character designer, while Mieko Hosoi (Aiura, Shōwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjū, Grimgar, Ashes and Illusions) adapted those designs for animation. Film composers included Keita Haga (Fate/stay night theme song lyrics) and Hideyuki Fukasawa (Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works).
