Shinkai stated at the event:

One day I want to make a film like RRR, watching it was a very unique experience and I loved it. I want to make films that will make Japanese viewers become Indian viewers, and where they will be able to come with friends and cheer out loud for the movie.

Shinkai also attended the premiere event itself and participated in a Q&A session with attendees on April 20.

Denki Amashima, the artist of the manga adaptation of Makoto Shinkai's Suzume (Suzume no Tojimari) film, will speak in a "Manga Talk Session" at Rachna Sansad College of Applied Art & Craft.
