Gunbuster, Love Live! Superstar and Second Free! The Final Stroke Film Have U.K. Home Releases on Monday

On Monday August 18, Anime Limited will release a Collector's Blu-ray edition of Hideaki Anno's 1988 OVA series Gunbuster. This edition will include an A3 double-sided poster and a 48-page art booklet.
The anime's heroine is Noriko Takaya, whose dream is to become a space pilot like her father, Admiral Yuzo Takaya. He died when she was still a little girl due to an attack of alien forces in deep space. After entering Okinawa Girls Space Pilot High School, Noriko is handpicked by instructor Kouichiro Ohta as someone with great potential. She must then persuade everyone, especially herself, that she can indeed fulfill her goal and become an accomplished pilot despite being just an ordinary girl.
Anime Limited will also release a Collector's Blu-ray edition of Love Live Superstar!!, including a 12-page booklet and seven art cards. The anime's official website describes the anime's story:
"Yuigaoka Girls High School is a newly established school that lies between the Omotesando, Harajuku, and Aoyama neighborhoods of Tokyo. The story centers on its first batch of students. With no history, no upperclassmen or alumni, and no reputation, it is a school full of unknowns. Five girls, among them Kanon Shibuya, have a fateful encounter with school idols. Kanon decides, 'I love singing. I want to make something come true with song!'
Hajime Yatate, the collective pseudonym for the staff of Sunrise, is once again credited for original work. Sakurako Kimino is also credited again for original concept, as in previous Love Live! anime. Takahiko Kyōgoku, the director of the original Love Live! School idol project and subsequent film, returns as director alongside Love Live! School idol project and Love Live! Sunshine!! writer Jukki Hanada. Atsushi Saitō (Black Fox) is adapting franchise character designer Yūhei Murota's original character designs. Yoshiaki Fujisawa also returns from the first Love Live! series as composer for the music.
Anime Limited will also release a Collector's Blu-ray/DVD of Free! The Final Stroke Part 2, including a booklet. Anime Limited describes the story:
"After his first appearance on the competitive world stage, Haruka is held captive by the swimming of the undisputed champion, Albert, and feels like he's lost his way. Adrift in this state, Haruka's swimming and what the water means to him are called into question, and he begins to sink to the bottom of some murky water as he struggles alone."
Anime Limited will also release a Collector's Blu-ray edition of Ayumu Watanabe's feature film Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko, including a booklet and five art cards.
Ayumu Watanabe (Children of the Sea, Space Brothers) directed the anime at Studio 4°C. Satomi Ooshima (Hataraki Man) wrote the script. Kenichi Konishi (Children of the Sea, A Good Librarian Like a Good Shepherd) was the character designer and chief animation director. Sanma Akashiya (Santa Claus Tsukamaeta! screenwriter and original creator) planned and produced the film. ASMIK Ace distributed the film.
Gentosha published the original novel in April 2014. The "human drama" novel centers on a mother named Nikuko and her daughter, Kikuko, who live on a boat. The novel follows their paths in life, and their growth.
"In the present day, the world is in turmoil due to an 'unprecedented disaster.' A young man living in Tokyo, Suzushiro, has a secret he cannot tell anyone. That secret is that he can stop the time around him despite his thoughts. One day, he meets a girl named Nazuna who has the same power, When he learns that she is being used in a crime, he impulsively reaches out to help her. Will the two be able to get time that has stopped to start moving again?
