Pokémon Mela Festival Hosts Activities, Games, Screenings, More in New Delhi, Noida

The Pokémon Company announced on Saturday that its Pokémon Mela event is taking place from November 17-19 at DLF Mall of India, Noida.

It will take place at DLF Avenue, Saket, New Delhi on December 2 and December 3, and at DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi on December 8 and December 9.
The events will include Pikachu dance performances and parades, Quiz contests with giveaways and prizes, screenings of Pokémon animation videos, colouring activities, and a Pokémon photobooth. Participants of the photobooth activity can enter a post-and-win giveaway for Pokémon plush toys. The events will also include special Pokéstops for the Pokémon GO app.
The Pokémon Company stated that the Pokémon Mela is the first in a series of initiatives planned to enhance the presence of Pokémon in India. Corporate officer at the company Susumu Fukunaga stated the company wants “to create more and more opportunities to reach out to the audiences in India and find a place in their everyday life. We believe that on-ground events are key to fostering meaningful interactions with existing Pokémon fans, while carving a way to connect with new ones.”
