Tokyo, Japan, May 12, 2010 - Bandai Channel Co., Ltd. has announced that the newest animation work, “Mobile Suit Gundam UC (Unicorn)”, is now available at the PlayStation®Store in the US, following the smash hit release at its store in Japan on February 20, 2010. It is offered in two formats: High Definition (HD) and Standard Definition (SD). HD allows audiences to enjoy the show with TrueHD 5.1ch audio in your home theater. If you bought the SD version, you can transfer the video to the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) handheld entertainment system for users that are always on the go anytime and anywhere. This is a show that fans admire for its high quality, and Bandai Channel strongly recommends its American fans to watch the show in HD if possible.
“Gundam UC” is based on Japan's most successful franchise “Mobile Suit Gundam” – it has gathered much attention with its simultaneous Blu-ray Disc releases in March in North America, Europe and Asia. In Japan, the release instantly became a #1 smash hit on the Anime Blu-ray charts. According to the Oricon survey firm, within a week from its street date, the Blu-ray sales of “Gundam UC” Volume 1 exceeded 56,000 discs and has become the most sold anime Blu-ray.
