Aniplex of America hosts “the Garden of sinners” Night US Premiere Event at NEW PEOPLE in San Francisco on February 5th, 2011

SANTA MONICA, CA (January 14, 2011) – Aniplex of America Inc. announced today that it will host The Garden of Sinners Night US Premiere Event at VIZ Cinema (located at 1746 Post Street, San Francisco, inside the NEW PEOPLE building in San Francisco's Japantown) on Saturday, February 5th, to be followed by a discussion panel with key members of the movie's production staff. This one-day-only event will kick off the anticipated release of The Garden of Sinners - Blu-ray Disc Box which streets in North America on February 8th, 2011 (just a week after Japan's release).

A theatrical box office bonanza in Japan, The Garden of Sinners Chapters 1, 2 and 7 will be presented in its original Japanese language with English subtitles at this special event. The door will open at 1:00pm and Chapter 1 will start at 1:30pm. In addition to the premiere screening, the event will also be highlighted with a discussion panel featuring Hikaru Kondo, executive producer and president of anime production studio, ufotable, as well as producer Atsuhiro Iwakami. Fans of The Garden of Sinners will have a rare and unique opportunity to hear first-hand a variety of noteworthy topics as producers Kondo and Iwakami reveal how they started and developed the movie project, the fun and hard aspects of production work, and other behind-the-scene stories.

About The Garden of Sinners
“The Garden of Sinners” is a series of hit cult novels written by KINOKO NASU of TYPE-MOON (“Tsukihime -Lunar Legend-”, “Fate/stay night”) and published in KODANSHA BOX series. Story of The Garden of Sinners
After spending two years in a coma caused by a traffic accident, Shiki Ryougi awakens with amnesia. Working for a small independent agency, Shiki attempts to unravel the baffling mystery behind a series of abnormal, horrifying incidents, but are they a foreshadowing that leads to something even more tragic and ominous? Things are not what they appear to be on the surface, but what dark revelations lie underneath? This is a modern occult-action thriller where Shiki must tackle supernatural incidents with her special abilities while searching for a reason to live.
