Florida Anime Experience Announces Guests and the Theme for Year Five

The annual celebration of anime, cosplay, and Japanese pop culture returns April 24-26, 2015 in Orlando, Florida.

(ORLANDO, FLORIDA, November 26, 2014) Started in 2011, Florida Anime Experience (www.Florida-Anime.com) is a three day pop culture event celebrating anime, manga, cosplay, and video games. The event boasts unique celebrity and industry guests plus hours of programming for fans of Japanese culture and entertainment. This is the convention's fifth year in Central Florida and it will take place April 24-26, 2015 at the Park Inn by Radisson Resort & Conference Center Orlando located at 3011 Maingate Lane, Orlando, FL 34747. Events begin at noon on Friday, April 24th and run through Sunday, April 26th at 6:00 PM.

Ticket prices are $20 for Friday or Sunday, $25 for Saturday, or $45 for all three days. Advanced tickets are discounted, and will be available online starting Black Friday (November 28, 2014) through March 31, 2015 at www.FloridaAnime.com/tickets. Children under 3 years old get in for free.

Each year, Florida Anime Experience themes the convention based on a popular Japanese animated title. For 2015, that title is one of the most influential anime of all time: Neon Genesis Evangelion. To reflect that, our guest lineup features the voices of the key pilots from the Evangelion movies: Spike Spencer (the voice of Shinji), Tiffany Grant (the voice of Asuka), Brina Palencia (the voice of Rei), and Trina Nishimura (the voice of Mari).

Entertainment at the convention includes an anime viewing room, manga library, Japanese video game room, fan and industry panels, Japanese culture panels, Maid Cafe Latte, costume contests, dance parties, and much more. A complete schedule will be made available online at www.FloridaAnime.com/schedule early next year.

Based on previous years, the event is expected to attract approximately 2,500 attendees from the Orlando area.
