'SMAC! MOVIE CONTEST' Now Accepting Entries
An exciting new contest of “Bringing MANGA to Life”, organised by the industry veterans that brought you SILENT MANGA AUDITION®. Winners will receive a cash prize, and be invited to Japan to receive an award. Now accepting 1st stage entries.
Kichijoji, Tokyo, JAPAN - July 17th, 2015
“SMAC! MOVIE CONTEST” is a movie award organised by established manga industry veterans, of SILENT MANGA AUDITION® The contest is hosted by “SMAC! Web Magazine”. Entries will be assessed by a team of manga professionals, with guest movie directors.
“CHANGE THE WORLD WITH A SMARTPHONE!”
Manga legends changed the world, with just pen and paper. Today's equivalent will be a mobile camera, just like those on a smartphone.
Using any equipment available, contestants must turn an award winning manga from “SMAC! Playback” into a movie. Organisers welcome those who have no prior experience in movie making to enter this competition.
Entries are assessed based on skill, not on the equipment used.
Assessment takes place in two stages : “1. PRE-PRODUCTION” and “2. FUNDED PRODUCTION”.
This competition is open to anybody around the globe.
Entries are to be submitted via online uploader.

Final results will be announced in February 2016.
Winners will be invited to Japan, to receive an award and to meet the organisers.
