The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc Arrives on Blu-ray November 30 from Aniplex of America

"A battle between the most powerful brother and sister duo and the undefeated visitor"

SANTA MONICA, CA (September 30, 2021) – Aniplex of America is excited to announce the release of The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc Blu-ray Set on November 30, 2021. The exclusive release comes with a rigid box featuring illustrations by character designer Kana Ishida, a special booklet with character information, plus 3 discs containing all 13 episodes of the action-packed series and bonus contents, including textless opening and ending, trailers, and episode previews. The Blu-ray set is priced at $129.98 (SRP $159.98) and pre-orders are available now from online retailer RightStuf Anime (https://www.rightstufanime.com/).

The series features the anime adaptation of the Visitor Arc from the best-selling light novels The Irregular at Magic High School written by Tsutomu Sato with illustrations by Kana Ishida, who also served as the anime's character designer and chief animation director alongside Takashi Mamezuka. In a world where magic has been established as a form of technology, the series focuses on a brother and sister duo, Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba, as they navigate their turbulent school life at Magic High School.

The animation production of The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc was helmed by eight bit (The irregular at magic high school The Movie -The Girl Who Summons the Stars-, Infinite Stratos) with Risako Yoshida (The irregular at magic high school The Movie -The Girl Who Summons the Stars-) serving as director, and music production by Aniplex with music by Taku Iwasaki (GURREN LAGANN, Black Butler). The series started streaming in the U.S. five years after the first season in October 2020 on Funimation and Hulu.

The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc's Japanese voice cast stars Yuichi Nakamura (Durarara!!, Jujutsu Kaisen) and Saori Hayami (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, anohana -The Flower We Saw That Day-) as the iconic siblings, Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba. In the series, the arrival of the youngest person in the history of Stars to become commander and the USNA's most powerful magician, Angelina Kudou Shields, voiced by Yoko Hikasa (Cells at Work! CODE BLACK, Waganaria!!), shakes the sibling's world to the core.

The English dub stars Alejandro Saab (Pretty Boy Detective Club, Horimiya) as Tatsuya Shiba, Anairis Quiñones (Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, Attack on Titan The Final Season) as Miyuki Shiba, and Suzie Yeung (Cells at Work!, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train) as Angelina Kudou Shields. Produced in association with BangZoom! Entertainment, the English dub features Erica Mendez (I want to eat your pancreas, Carole & Tuesday) as English voice director and Rachel Robinson (Katsugeki TOUKEN RANBU, Record of Grancrest War) as ADR script writer.

About The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc:

October 31, 2095.

The southernmost tip of the Korean Peninsula was annihilated by an unidentified Strategic-Class magic.

Known as “Scorched Halloween,” this day marked the arrival of a new Strategic-Class magician who would shake up the world. Sensing an impending crisis, the USNA secretly deploys Stars–the most powerful magician unit in the world–in a desperate attempt to uncover the truth about the unidentified Strategic-Class magic and the magician who used it.

Approximately two months later, on December 24, as people bustle about the city decorated with Christmas lights, Tatsuya and his friends gather at Cafe Einebrise for Shizuku's farewell party before she leaves for a three-month trip to America as an exchange student.

According to her, a girl about her age will be entering Magic High School as her visiting counterpart. Meanwhile, at the USNA Stars' base, a girl prepares to go undercover to investigate First High School.

Her name is Angelina Kudou Shields. She is the youngest person in the history of Stars to become commander, and as the USNA's most powerful magician she wields the Strategic-Class magic known as Heavy Metal Burst.
