Arc System Works Announces Partnership with Clear River Games AB for European Market Distribution
Torrance, Calif. – Oct. 3, 2023 – Arc System Works America, Inc. announced its partnership with Swedish publisher Clear River Games AB, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Embracer Freemode AB, to expand its footprint across Europe for popular titles such as the upcoming Double Dragon Collection and UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II Sys:Celes.
For over 35 years, Arc System Works has created and published premiere experiences in the gaming industry to great success. Throughout, they have established a loyal fanbase across Asia and North America. In an effort to expand their community across Europe, the classic fighting game publisher has partnered with Clear River Games. The Swedish publisher focuses on publishing high-quality classic games, Japanese franchises, modern retro/pixel art games, and indie games with the goal of inspiring gamers by bringing back great memories of the past or giving the opportunity to discover great new games.

The Double Dragon Collection sets the return of the iconic fighting game series, following Billy Lee and his brother Jimmy as they master their martial arts skills in the fight against the Black Shadow Warriors. Featured in the collection are the series' six titles: DOUBLE DRAGON, DOUBLE DRAGON II: The Revenge, DOUBLE DRAGON III: The Sacred Stones (all in English version), Double Dragon IV, Double Dragon Advance and Super Double Dragon. The collection releases on Nintendo Switch in early 2024 in physical copies only.
UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II Sys:Celes brings the highly-anticipated sequel and final chapter to the “Hollow Night” storyline that began with the original series release over a decade ago. As a fully original addition to the fight game genre, the game will weave a climactic tale of surviving the Hollow Night and dueling powerful foes accented by fantastic visual environments, 21 returning characters and new In-Births joining to bolster an already potent roster, plus compelling background music. The game will arrive January 25, 2024 on PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™, and Steam® platforms.
