Virtual Singer KAF Links With #KT-chan For “Gimi Gimi Flight”
The Single Kicks Off The Japanese Artist's Second “Suite” Series Of Collaborations
Tokyo, Japan — Japanese virtual singer KAF's “Suite” series of collaborations found the emerging artist connecting with an eclectic set of artists including MIYAVI, Mondo Grosso and Hakushi Hasegawa to reveal new depth to her work. After wrapping up the first “Suite” run this past January, KAF returns with a second collection of songs featuring a wide mix of artists from an array of musical backgrounds. She kicks it off with rapper #KT-chan on the bouncy dance-pop track “Gimi Gimi Flight”.

With “Gimi Gimi Flight,” KAF starts the second “Suite” series off with a youthful blast. Backed by a rollicking beat put together by producer peko, KAF sings about getting away from it all for a bit to enjoy good times. #KT-chan, a 19-year-old MC, trades lines with her, capturing the simple joys of Japanese Gen Z life with a playful energy.
Alongside “Gimi Gimi Flight,” KAF guested on a new song by #KT-chan called “BEKI.” Watch the video for it here.
The song came out on February 28, a little over a month KAF completed her biggest live show to date with KAMITSUBAKI YOYOGI WARS 2024, held at Tokyo's Yoyogi National Gymnasium. With “gimme gimme escape,” KAF shows she isn't slowing down, and instead ready to embrace the next era of her thrilling, border-blurring career.

Tackling feelings of needing to uphold ideals and meeting expectations, we wanted to tell the story of an unforgettable, uplifting night between these two girls that might just make the mundane everyday grind a bit more bearable.
The actual production of the song, which peko put together, has such a sparkle to its charm that I couldn't help but fall in love with it. There's a break during the song where it's basically a conversation between myself and #KT-chan that felt so natural during the creation that I almost had myself thinking that we'd been friends from well before working together.
