Milly just seems odd on this list. Yeah she must be pretty strong to carry a heavy weapon but she never really shows any kind of muscle, and certainly never does anything to get a reputation of being "muscle bound" other than being naturally tall.
If you're really desperate for female reps I wanna know why someone like Bisuke can't make it onto a list like this. |

I could hear the outrage over no Fist or DB characters before I even clicked the page. Even I was expecting Kenshiro to be #1. I don't object to Guts though. I also like seeing characters you might not think of off the top of your head for these lists, which is why the lack of the above doesn't bother me. In that vein (npi), I'd like to add the two protagonists of Gifuu Doudou!!, who were both so musclebound that their necks were wider than their heads (and most people's thighs). This is another one of those lists it's impossible to pare down to 7 since the potential and worthy candidates number in the hundreds.

Is that really how the anime goes down? In the game she spoiler[challenges Monokumo as she is the one giving the nutter info and refuses to do so anymore... She commits suicide in the game room and that pretty much unifies the others]. . Still though she is considered one of the heroes. |

He may not have a heavy build, but Rock Lee deserves a mention for all he does to keep himself in top shape.

What a disappointing list. Toriko, Jonathan Joestar, and Kenshiro should top the list easily.
They're all cut from the same mold, and Kenshiro is the quintessential 'muscle bound' manga hero. It's like his core quality. I can't say much the of the DBZ set actually strike me a 'muscle bound' though. Most of them are pretty well proportion. Except maybe Master Roshi when he 'hulks out' during the World Martial Arts Tourney. Edit: Pri Pri Prisoner from One-Punch Man if definitely a contender as well. |

Most of the muscle-bound guys in DBZ were not heroes. I don't think anyone "muscle-bound" was a hero in HxH, either.
But for me, #1 will always bee Louis Armstrong, whose manly physique has been handed down the Armstrong family line FOR GENERATIONS! Teacher's husband was also pretty impressive in that regard. |

Not just that, but how about the "want to go, but need to develop the testicular/chesticular fortitude to just up and do it." Poll was a bit lacking in honest selections. |

The poll had choices for "never been there" and "never been there and never will". I assume the former covers all the "no money" "no time" "no fortitude" "not old enough" "my wife doesn't wanna" type choices. You'd never be able to list all the possible reasons for people not to go...

Shouldn't someone from Kenichi Mightiest Disciple be on the list?
Hayto Furinji, Apachai, and Sakaki are all crazy pumped up. And if you wanted a girl in there no reason not to include Shigure-sama. |
