Kyou has been one of my favorite characters recently, so I definitely can't wait to see this one. I hope it's just as good or better than Tomoyo's chapter.

If only they included Kappei's arc in the anime, then they could do Sunohara x Kappei. That arc was hilarious. Poor naive, confused, Sunohara.

In that case, we'll discard: -Misae's route (if it was even in the anime) -Tomoyo's route -Yukine's route (was this one in the anime?) -Kyou/Ryou route (this one was impossible to adapt even if butchering the romance part like they did in the other adapted routes) -Kotomi route -Possibly Fuuko route (involved very little romance compared to other routes) And that leaves Nagisa route as the main route. That leaves us with: -Kappei route (they didn't adapt this one?!) -Sunohara route -Koumura route -Baseball arc (probably not adapted) -Jet Saito (haven't even seen this myself, probably not adapted) Clannad is just a collection of romantic stories with the same setting and starting point. The same goes for Kanon. It's just idiotic to try to fit them all into a single storyline. As for Kyou route: I found it very disappointing. Kyou is awesome, but she's the least awesome in her own route, ironically. Only the epilogue was great. |

waste of episode, IMO.
I suppose it will make Kyou fans happy though. It was the most cliche' story and worse arc, I thought. I mean... it wasn't terrible.... but the whole plot was something I've seen before a dozen times..... At least we'll get to see more Botan! I wanna see him turn into football-mode. |

Fantastic! Kyou is my favorite, was really hoping to get this episode!
I loved her route in the game and Tomoyo's Arc episode was perfect, so I know KyoAni can do it justice in just one episode. Oh, and to haters of After Stories ending: You're crazy, it was perfect. It was setup from episode 1 of the original series and works perfectly into the game as well. I can't imagine not loving the end to After Story. Best anime ever! |

Its been a while since anyone has posted here... but I heard they were starting another series of Clannad, or atleast that's what one of my friends had told me. Can anyone fill me in on whether this rumor is true or not?! Thanks!

It's false. There was a sequel to Clannad, called "Clannad: After Story" that finished being released in the USA a few months ago, after airing in Japan about a year or two back. However, with "After Story", the Clannad story is over forever, and I haven't heard any news about a remake/second series at all. You might have just been hearing things about "Clannad: After Story".
That said, this thread is ooooold! And I never noticed that, ages ago, someone left an indignant reply to something I posted in it! I feel like I just stepped into a time warp woooooahhhhh!! |
