Nice key visual. I think the director choice is rather obvious but still nice to see it. Hope they can adapt it right of course.

I don't see any of the characters' heads tilting. Are you sure this is a Shaft project?

I'm going to venture that this isn't going to be your typical SHAFT production.

Akiyuki Simbo rarely "directs" in the accepted sense anymore. He oversees projects, but others are directing. I don't know who is filling that spot in this case.

Oh I didn't know she did the character designs for Eden of the East! But that makes so much sense now, haha. As for the summary of this anime, they didn't really give us much to go off of, but i'm interested nonetheless.

This show looks downright family friendly at first glance, not something I associate with Shaft at all. I associate Shaft with oversexed content and pushing the limits of what can and probably should be allowed to be shown on national TV. Granted they'd have to tone it down for NHK regardless, I'm just skeptical they can or will any more than they have to.

Heard talks that he is directing directing this. It will be the first time he will be series director since I think 2006??

It looks interesting although probably not an anime that I'd guess SHAFT were doing but the art work they've released is nice and although the staff chosen doesn't seem to go with this type of story to me, I'm looking forward to seeing the show.

I am SO SO SO HYPED for this. I don't understand the hate SHAFT get to be honest... the Monogatari series is downright godly, Arakawa was so fun, Rec is still my favourite short series ever, Nisekoi was actually fun (something the manga couldn't do for me).

But I guess a style is subjective, especially SHAFT's. Tbh I love their style. How the first person to do a head tilt is always the one dominating the conversation, the way they use cutting and editing in accordance to the mood of any given scene, in Kizumonogatari how they basically told the entire story through animation and sound ALONE, how the incorporate many different art and animation styles and methods into a single episode, I love it.

This is gonna be incredible. I say that with full confidence. Shinbo is a master when it comes to hitting the kokoro (Monogatari SS anyone). Not only that, this is the man's first time as the actual director of a show since I think Negima?! in 2008(think that was the year). Plus the massive likelihood they will get Bump Of Chicken on the op due to fighter *drool*.

I hope hope hope we get a pv at anime expo

If that is true, then I am even more interested. I am also a fan of their peculiar style.

Well I know for certain he is only a chief director(basically teacher to series directors almost, he oversees their work) Madoka, all monogatari, nisekoi, arakawa, Maria Holic, Arashi, and Gourmet Girl. Ill have to look in on other series but Negima is the last series I remember seeing him as series director.
