Nice. The first season implied a continuation so glad to see it happening now for Fall 2016. Hopefully they adapt the rest of the manga to where it is but I really look forward to it~

That's really good news. After where we were left off at the end of Season 1, it is just begging for more.

Thing is the manga is still on going, and there isn't any real "resting point" for the adaptation to utilize. They'll probably go with another "And Their Fight Continues" ending, like they did with the first season.

I really enjoyed the first season and was looking forward to the announcement of a second one. I am usually not a fan of series which are entirely CG, but it did not bother me that much this time.

As long as you have a wealthy money investor like Netflix and the feedbacks are positive, you WILL have a second season, regardless of poor disc sales in Japan...

Yeah...LOVE it!!!!

Izumi is cool but Satou is the best (especially once you learn his background).

This one never really grabbed me. Hated the main character he was so useless was rooting for the bad guy.

Hopefully Sidonia S3 is coming as well.

Hopefully Netflix can simulcast this time smile emoticon. Do you think the animation will improve/change though?

Yep! Also thrilled. I was about 50/50 on a second season just because Netflix is involved, without them, it would have been extremely unlikely. This is fantastic. While I prefer owning things on disc, all of this streaming revenue moving into the industry has been nothing but positive. I really do hope they find a better place to stop for this second season though. I loved the series, but the ending left me extremely unsatisfied.

Nice, looking forward to it. I'm guessing it will most likely go to Netflix and not be simulcast so it will be around January before we see it. I don't mind. Plenty of other things to watch in the meantime.

If they've really finally found a way around the production committee system and having to follow the BD sales system for gauging success than the anime industry has just opened itself up to creators being able to do the kind of series they might want to work on and do again instead of being forced to take contract work aimed at the late night anime otaku niche when it comes to more adult oriented anime so this is an early good first sign. Anime really needs to be able to experiment again with like it could in prior decades and probably needs to get away from the limited vision and oversight of it's current production committee giants in order to survive this decade as a distinct creative medium.
