Hmm, is it just me or is this series going to shift from its happy-go-lucky magical girl parody romp to something darker?

Okay, with these VAs, now I'm interested. Where should I start watching? I'm getting archive agoraphobia.

well, it was not supossed to be THAT happy go lucky, but the anime padded the manga witha lot of happy go lucky content, which was stll present, but not to this amount.

Yumi Kakazu is now officially Hisui/Sapphire

...which means TYPE-MOON had no other choice but to acknowledge JC STAFF's Tsukihime adaptation, but at we still keep the joke that Ruby & Sapphire are supposed to be Kohaku & Hisui

The trailer looks good, character designs as well. I hope this will be a 13 episodes rather than the standard 10 because of the earlier starting date as well.

I lost interest in this series during the 2nd season. But, this PV does interest me. May keep an eye on this season, and see if I should binge 2&3 to jump on board.

Prisma Illya was never COMPLETELY happy go lucky, there were always hints of shadows even in the earliest iterations, and something to consider is that in the main line of Fate spoiler[Illya along with Berserker usually end up getting slaughtered HARD]

To come around on this, Prisma Illya actually follows the modern "Light magical girl meets Dark magical Girl" formula, the most popular being from Madoka Magica and the earliest contemporal example would be Chibi-Usa and Hotaru Tomoe's relationship, the trend of course being the relationships are destined for some level of narrative tragedy.

ANYway, I of course am also looking forward to this animated adaptation.

Except for the anime fillers, in my opinion the Anime so far has been as happy go lucky as the manga. They shifted some jokes here and there, but they both keep that tendendy of throwing a joke right in the middle of a more serious moment.

But yeah, 3rei does get a bit darker. Still funny though.

She did an incredible job for Nobunaga, so maybe we'll get a performance more like that, as opposed to *shudder* Louise.

With that said, I'm surprised to feel a bit of hype this time around. Please let this be better than 2wei Herz, please let this be better than 2wei Herz...

I'd recommend you watch it like I did - alone in a dark room with lots of Alcohol.

In a bit more seriousness it's kinda hard to say - besides one incredibly standout moment season 1 is very slow and season 2/3 have a lot of filler in-between plot episodes. If you like the show's comedy you'll probably still have a decent time but if not it may be a bit of a chore. Honestly you could probably watch the show in the background and still understand most of it, the first few seasons are pretty plot lite.

OT - I'm psuedo excited for 3rei, I personally have never liked Fate/Kalied outside of a so bad it's good way because of just how trashy it can be, its humour made me cringe, but for some reason I often still found myself enjoying it, if not just for how bad it was.

But I'll admit 2Wei Herz's plot started to show some potential towards the end and if they cut the filler and had more fight scenes I could totally see 3Rei being a pretty fun show.
Don't let me down again Nasu-Verse!

Hah, yeah, this tickled me when I went to look up her credits. I would say it's certainly less acknowledging it and more "well, they picked her before, let's try her first before going for a complete newbie." If her voice fits, that's all anyone can really ask for, regardless of her previous work.
