This is happening? THIS IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING?! HOLY CRAP!
It has to come over here, right? I mean, they released Kingdom Hearts Final Mix over here in the HD re-release, so they'll do the same thing here, right? RIGHT?! I'm more excited for this than I was when they announced the Final Fantasy VII Remake! I'm goddamn hyperventilating over here!

With E3 right around the corner, I wouldn't doubt there will be a Western release annoucement. With this annoucement, I will carry around a sign that says "Take all my money Square, just take it!". While FF12 didn't have the best of villans, I was intrigued by the world that was built and the lore of it. I also liked the character interactions and the battle system was fun. Yes, it can be a bit broken, but I also had fun with FF8's junction system no matter how broken that was too.

Finally, I'm super excited for this, XII is one of my favorite FF games, and with the rereleases of everything on PS4 and Steam and such, I knew it was only a matter of time. Given that E3 is next week, we'll probably see more then, definitely looking forward to Squeenix's presentation this year.

I think that since the HD version will have English dialog, a Western release is all but guaranteed. Even if it isn't, importing is always an option since most PS4 games aren't region locked.

going to pass, I still vividly remember giving the original release a chance(got 40+ plus hours in) but dropped it because the plot was so damn SLOW, it took forever for anything to happen and the battle system wasn't satisfying.

I love Ivalice and liked the gameplay enough that I'd be interested in playing an HD remaster, buuuuuuut~
No PS3 version, no sale! And I'm sure that counts for other people that liked 10 and 10-2 on their Vita. If they can take FF and Kingdom Hearts from the PS2 and have no trouble fitting them on the PS3 and Vita, all this makes me think is that Sony is playing politics and forcing everyone to buy on PS4. I imagine a PC release is coming later down the line at least. Given FFXII's MMO-style gameplay, it may be suited better for a PC playthrough anyways.

The PS4 wasn't out yet when Kingdom Hearts 1.5 released and it wasn't out in Japan by the time FFX/X-2 released either. That's why they were on the PS3 and Vita. Less and less games are being released for the PS3 because PS4 is going on to be 3 years old this year. It's not about "playing politics" and making you buy a PS4. It's about moving on to the more up to date hardware like they have been doing for the past 2 years and like every company does. And really, I'd say its more of a Square-Enix decision than a Sony one so if you want to blame anyone for "playing politics" it should be SE. |
