How is Zestiria only going to have 13 episodes when we're dealing with a 40 hour long game? Bit nervous about this.
Tales of the Abyss had 26 and was fast paced...

For thoose that dont know Tales of Zestiria the X will be split cour we will get a 2nd season at winter 2017 and there will be 12episodes.
Also about the story as i am aware its going to be sort of original because they will combine it with 2 games of Tales and the people that have seen the 4episodes already at some event said that the story is better then the game.

It was announced before that Zestiria will be a split-core 13+12 eps like previous Ufotable series.

I was sure that this is the case, but I couldn't find any mention of it in ANN's articles.

Because this game is a shit, the scenario takes on a piece of toilet paper and the game lineal you finished in 15 hours not 40 =)

It was revealed on June 30th by French streaming service: Anime Digital Network. Season 2 planned for winter 2017 (12 episodes).

Maybe if you're playing on easy mode with the 20 dollar combat bonus items lol.
Average time is 43 hours. Fastest speedrun I can find is over 10 hours.
But as other's have said, 2-cours just split between seasons...so this can still work out. I'm not entirely sure how this is gonna work if they're adding Berseria content though.

The thing that's concerning me is how much extra content they've added into the first two episodes (or well, the prologue and Episode 1), specifically focusing on Alisha. While I do appreciate that Alisha is getting more attention (trust me, I do), it does make me wonder how the pacing is overall going to be for the rest of the series. The fact that we're only at the group meeting Alisha for the first time in Episode 1, I would've figured we'd be at least to the part where Sorey takes her to his village, only to discover that she can't see the people there, which I know is probably already confusing viewers as is at the moment.
