Oh? They apparently want to adverise a lot of their titles to recognize each title's potential, but I hope they do it the right way. DelRey stuck that obnoxious "as seen on TV!" sign on the front cover of Gundam SEED, and I wouldn't have minded as much if it hadn't been in bright yellow.

I agree. This market is starting to get crowded. There's only so much shelf space at Borders.

Oh, I don't have a Borders, but at my local video/book store, their manga section is looking very, very bare. It's weird because it used to be full and now half of their stock is gone...

Am I the only one who thinks Go! Comi is a funny name?

Manga studio that distrube anime titles like Ghost in the Shell and Street Fighter is a funny name. It has nothing to do with manga and had cause many confusion in the community. Perhaps we might see an anime studio that only release manga titles.

well its like this in Japan and has been for some time has it not? The problem is we get as a result a lot of junk but also a lot of variety and good titles as well. I admit I'm not very interested in these titles or this company however. As of yet anyway.

Kind of interesting that all of Go! Comi's initial titles appear to be shoujo. I'm actually looking forward to most of these titles after reading the descriptions. Only Crossroads seems to have a completey cliche storyline.

They're saying alot of good things in the press release (then again, who wouldn't?), but I'll wait until see their product before I pass judgement (or as it seems to be the case with some other readers, "yawn"). Still, judging by their manga descriptions they don't seem to be making an effort to put out something diffrent than what everybody else is doing at the moment. The shojo market is so flooded right now. It would be nice to see someone try to publish something diffrent for a change.

I have a lot of faith in Go! because their Editor is Jake Forbes. He really cares a lot about manga and you can be sure that their releases will be top notch.

and this is coming from someone who is his competition. Cool
