The short four-panel gag manga is about the love of famous works of literature. It follows Sawako "Miss Bernard" Machida, a lazy girl who wants to be a well-read person

Actually, Miss Bernard said. is not a 4-koma (four-panel) manga, at least in Volume 1 and Volume 2, which I bought and read in the original. Panel-wise, Miss Bernard said. was drawn in an "ordinary" so-called story-manga style in those volumes.

...and more masterpieces that she has not necessarily read.

It is an irony that the "professional" journalist on manga and anime who wrote that ANN article has not even read Miss Bernard said., to say nothing of his/her having not even checked secondary sources about Miss Bernard said. well.
