Is there a point to revoicing it entirely when it's just going to be the same show?

The main character's VA does porn now.

Isn't that reason enough?

The sequel manga started recently, so they're using this as an opportunity to gauge the viability of a new anime project.

I feel sorry for this series. After the porn controversy, it's now being dug from its slumber with just a re-voice and not re-animation, which I think, a little bit insulting. If they have the notion to re-do the voices, they might as well put more effort and re-do the whole series per today's animation standards.

I can't fathom why they would do this. Sure, the lead character's VA is currently doing hentai and that's not going to reflect too well on this. The other reason is they want to bring attention to the manga. Ummm, wouldn't it be a better idea to just do a brand-new version of the series instead of doing this? I don't really see the need for it.

There is nothing wrong with doing hentai, so this discrimination of past works, especially those that in no way can actually "taint" viewers, shows that the Japanese society continues to be conservative.

That seems like such a waste of money. Lots of "mainstream" seiyuu do hentai under a pseudonym. Pretty sure Tohru Furuya (Tuxedo Mask, Pegasus Seiya) has done it before and i don't see them deleting him from existence and revoicing all his stuff
