The magazine describes the series as a "boy meets girl" manga.

And they both meet spoiler[aliens.] Because it's Oku manga, right?

Gantz was published in Young Jump by Shueisha. Inuyashiki was published in Evening by Kodansha. Oku's upcoming work was announced by Shogukakan. Isn't it unusual for manga-ka to work with different publishers like that? Just curious.

Now that you mention it, you're right. I do think Oku's a bit on the eccentric side though.

These aren't one shots, right? I wonder how it'll end up.

He probably just went with whoever offered him the most creative freedom.

Considering the title, it probably has to do with Giants.

Probably Oku wants a piece of the Attack on Titan hype.

I wonder what will these two together will bring to the table, something similar like Re:Creators when it involved Black Lagoon creator and Aldnoah Zero director?

I also think it's along those lines. He kinda mentioned that himself in an interview not long ago (about Inuyashiki if I recall correctly).

I wonder if there's something to do with his mangas often ending so very abruptly (Gantz is one major example, it almost felt like he dropped the manga there).
