Hasekura began Shinsetsu Ōkami to Kōshinryō Ōkami to Yōhishi (Spice and Wolf New Theory: Parchment and Wolf) as a sequel to the original novels in April 2016. Yen Press will publish the first volume of the sequel on Tuesday.

Really looking forward to that. Smile

It also published the the Spice and Wolf, Volume 18: Spring Log collection of short stories.

There's also Spring Log II, volume 19, which is listed for March 2018 by Yen Press. The main series should wrap up with that, unless Hasekura comes out with yet another collection of short stories in the future.

Does manga adapt more than the anime?

Quite a bit more; the anime (both seasons!) handles essentially the first five volumes of the LN series, whereas AFAICT the manga is shooting to cover essentially the whole span. It's probably worth being aware that it's (a little) more fanservice-y in spots than either the LNs or the anime, but as far as I've gone so far (I'm about 9 volumes into either one) it's a pretty good adaptation.

The manga does leave a few arcs out, for example the rival arc early on (that the anime did depict), and perhaps most prominently the entire island arc late in the series.

Hopefully the manga ending closely mirrors the ending of the LN's.
