I honestly never thought I’d see the day. Muhyo is my all time favorite manga and when I learned a sequel had been announced, it gave me the smallest inkling that an anime adaptation could possibly be in the works.

But oh man, this just made my day. Now I’m curious how much they will adapt. The manga is fairly episodic early on, so for the sake of time, I wouldn’t be surprised if they cut out some of the content. Granted I don’t know how many episodes this is getting. And with the sequel starting, could they potentially adapt some of that? The only reason I say this is because spoiler[ the manga pretty much finished up the main plot of the story around volume 15 and it starts a less than interesting arc after before ending.]

I don’t care what they do, I’m just stoked this is finally getting an anime.

@WANNF: it wasn't the only series yo survive more than a year un Wsj without an anime..
E.g. ROOKIES, Rising impact, Bremen, Mr.Fullswing, Pretty Face, Taizo, Mx0, Psyren and some other mangas ran for more than a year in Jump but got no anime adaptation.

Between the announcement that Mob Psycho 100 is getting a second season and now this, I think I'm going to cry.

Muyho and Roji was one of the series that moved me out of the "big name" manga when I was just starting to explore them and so this has me utterly excited. Now to see if I can track down a full set of the manga for my personal collection Anime hyper

I wish I knew what the secret formula was to predicting which manga could get anime adaptations. I would never guess that a manga completed in 2008 would get an adaptation 10 years later, even with a manga sequel in the works.

This looks like something I'd enjoy and I'll keep an eye out for it, but an adaptation ten years later, huh? Guess this just proves it's never too late to hope for one.
