No, the first English dub episode will premier after the Japanese premiere due to a delay in getting the materials. The second dubbed episode will premiere on schedule.

So basically, the first dubbed episode will not be released same-day with the sub, because Japan, but episode 2 will. Well, since episode 1 is mostly recap anyway, this doesn't bother me.

Yeah this would only be a real issue if Episode 1 wasn't a recap. If it happened to any episode that be the best one. Hopefully this doesn't cause setbacks for future episodes.

I guess the ep funi showed at the con wasnt the finished ep2,,,only way I can imagine how ep1 isnt done on time, cause itd be strange if the animators have completely finished animating ep2 way before episode 1 was done.
THough this isnt a good sign for the season, BONES is usually on top of things.

Why is it a bad sign? Episode 1 is an original content+recap, it could have easily be done after the main stuff. Episode 13.5 of season 2 was also released dubbed later then the sub.

I know right. I mean a lot of people thought they were only going to 12-13 episodes this year. Instead they are doing 25 and an effing movie.

From ANN premiere report of episode 40 and comments on episode 39's preview that seems to be the case yes. Episode 40 is where they seem to official start to adapt the new stuff.

Delays in finishing anime only add up though, see the worst cases in which shows have been unable to finish airing within their seasons.
Also funimation note says they are still dubbing episode 2, so potentially the episode they showed at the con wasnt the Final version of episode 2 either (no one mentioned the OP or ED being with it there either...)

Or maybe they just received the episode later because it was made later since its more or less a recap with original content. And no the message never said they were still dubbing episode 2. It said they were on schedule to have episode 2 premiere with the dub like promised. You are just misinterpreting and being pessimistic.

Episode 1 of MHA S3 is literally just a recap episode along with some original scenes which honestly do not effect the story in any way, shape or form apart from being extra entertainment.
Episode 2 is where the anime picks up with the manga material so it don't matter.

Most are 2 or more weeks later. And for this show they generally getting the episode a week or 2 in advance.

I guess it was a little too much to hope that a same-day dub was possible, I'm fine with a week delay as I can get the Japanese/Sub one week and then the dub the next. Twice the goodness...
