Well the article didn´t say those records influenced the music but that they represent the show, meaning most use very over the top occultic and satanist themes and being quite transgressive for their time and context.

Also merely one Death Metal release on the list, minus points for lacking research Razz

Does that pamphlet describe those as all being death metal? Seems more like a whole spectrum package from Heavy to Doom

Mostly Black Metal albums... But Deicide's self-titled is one blast of a Death Metal album. (Death By Dawn... DEATH BY DAWN!!!!)

I'd add Possessed's Seven Churches.
