I doubt the owners would appreciate porn of their beloved racehorses.

Asking for this, is probably going to make some fans double down on the art and how extreme it will be. Just human nature in action.

I see why they asked though, especially since they most likely know better. They don't want to upset the horse owners to whom they legally got permission for name usage.

A perfect opportunity as any to refer to that Whomp! comic where the rancher shows Ronnie his handgun in response to him considering anthropomorphizing his horses.

Clamp asked the same thing for their characters and that didn't do much good so I am guessing the same will be true for Uma Musume Pretty Derby. The content creators have every right to make this type of request but realistically speaking the only thing it does is let people know that they are against it.

Let's not, too bad for the horses owners but fanart and doujin work are just too important for the fans, even more for such a serie Cool
Plenty of popular artist on pixiv did really good fanart, they should instead rejoice to see how beautiful their property are in the perfect dimension Smile

Don't give me sexy horse girls, put them in midriff-baring outfits for the last episode, then tell me I can't lewd them. Laughing

Plus one of the animators blatantly had a thing for bloated bellies.

"Why contain it?"
I know they are only doing it so that they can say to the horse owners, "we tried, they just aren't listening." But still, you turn the horses into cute moe girls, everyone involved knew what was going to happen. This is the path you chose.

Definitely this. If the horse owners ask them, they are 100% legally obligated to make this request. Though I guarantee you they dont expect much to change besides maybe a smaller comiket presence.

OMG someone lewded up the humanoid anime version of a race horse. Are we really going there, ok.

Ugh, why does the world have to be full of such killjoys and/or prudes. Any of these 'horse owners' who think the creators of this show can be held accountable for random peoples fan art are raving lunatics. These horses share names and history but as far as physical appearance goes the similarities are slim to none. Am I delusion, I mean horse girls and actual horses are wildly different things aren't they? So why get offended over a visual representation of something that has no bearing in reality? Plus why would any of the owners come across lewd art if they weren't already looking for it? Is it too much to ask someone to think about a given situation rationally and calmly and say "Hay (lol) lets not make a mountain out of a molehill".

The fact that companies need to put out statements like this because the world is full of such overly sensitive people is such a drag. I've got an idea, lets never do anything ever again coz someone somewhere might complain about it. Sad

Life should be about supporting healthy creativity not trying to stifle it.

There are plenty of other fictional characters they can draw bumping ugly parts. If the staff/owners ask for less porn then just move on.

So these people are thinking about doing the series a second season even though it never deserves the money and the best-seller spot it "earned" from the sales and now they are telling the fans what they should make and what they should not make. There is this thing so-called Rule 34. Fan creation knows no boundaries and countless popular series get a lot of fan-created porn. It has never affected them from continuing and some of those series flat out sexualize their characters to attract more fans. They are just bringing up old news. What is more ironic is that these horse girls are female representations of real-life horses that can seen positively or negatively, depending on who is asked. This is some franchise, right here. The people sure are full of themselves.
