I don't watch Pokemon, and Detective Conan but she still has big recurring roles in them, and these shows are, like, among the most popular in Japan. But then again, older seiyu are much more beloved, and appreciated in Japan, than abroad. On MyAnimeList, she currently has 4842 favorites, and as someone who was there for years, I know that an is extremely high for a veteran seiyu on that site. She probably has a lot of work outside voice acting... That being said, it would have been nice if there was something like a new Slayers anime in this decade (what with all the revivals thing), or getting a recurring role in Dragon Ball Super. |

I think the last anime role Megumi Hayashibara had that wasn't in Pokemon or Conan was 2014's Expelled From Paradise movie. She'll always be a legend to me so I'm glad to see her returning to a current anime series.

She most likely won’t since I don’t think that she speaks English. All of the songs in Carol & Tuesday are performed in English. While her character, Flora, does sing in the episode, a separate person does her singing voice. I just watched the episode this evening and Megumi’s character is very soft spoken and sounds similar to Rei Ayanami from Evangelion. |

I looked at the musical credits and didn't see Hayashibara's name listed there.
Strange conjunction between the soft-spoken Hayashibara and this week's title artist, Aretha Franklin. Here she is at the Kennedy Center Awards ceremony for Carole King (sitting next to Michelle Obama) who wrote "A Natural Woman:" https://youtu.be/qz2efshhuq4. Even at 73, she still had the pipes.
