What a tantalizing collection of films!

I myself am also astonished that we haven't gotten Kirikou here due to perceived "moral" issues about cultural nudity. This is America after all. Laughing

Actually, this is Canada Razz

And also, North American in general is more tolerant of violence in the media and less so of sexual themes.

Yeah, I knew the festival was in Canada.
Actually, I was facetiously echoing the curator's comment which specifically referenced the U.S. Wink
IMO, the U.S. is more tolerent of most sexual themes than of nudity, regardless of it's cultural relevence. Because of the large eroticism/pornography market
any nudity tends to be unequivocally perceived as sexual regardless of the context. And yes, I do think that this is U.S. specific.
