As expected given that the "winter 2020" season has come and gone. The seiyuu for President also revealed it this morning in a tweet by using the word "eiga".

Aria is one of my favorite anime shows so I'm really excited about this movie and getting to revisit the world of Neo Venezia again and with a modern theater quality animation.

I wonder what kind of story the movie will be. AFAIK nearly all of the original manga has been covered already by the various anime, so will it be new material? Amano wrote the new part (ep.3 IIRC) of The Avvenire, so I hope she'll do the movie as well.
I'd love to see more of Akari passing on what she learned from Alice (or discovered herself) to Ai, but I also didn't really like how the older generation was mostly absent from The Avvenire. Maybe Athena getting a new seiyuu means it'll take place between The Origination and The Avvenire? Looking forward to rewatching the whole series before the new movie, from Bluray this time

Hope they will get a U.S. screening. I live in new york so there is a chance. I will hand over that 15 bucks easy.

As am I. It's always been one of my essential slice of life shows to relax with. The new english dub they just released is great. I went in during the kickstarter. Being able to get NEW material though with current movie/OVA quality though....that's just awesome. |
