Le Chevalier D'Eon is now available in a special collector edition box. This special collector's edition contains the second volume of Le Chevalier D'Eon in a stunning custom series art box with full color artwork sized to hold the entire six volume series (SRP $39.98).

No T-shirt or anything else out of the ordinary? I am a little surprise, but I guess I shouldn't be really. I don't think that Guyver or any of the other shows that had skins made for them had anything special with their artboxes. I hope the art looks good, which shouldn't be too difficult and going by the look of the first volume I'd say that ADV will probably do an amazing job. Because I do love me the artwork in this series, I really want my box to say PSALMS in blood Rolling Eyes.

Isn't it generally Bandai that does something like throw a t-shirt or something else in? I don't think that other companies, particularly ADV, includes extra items like that.

Can't say I'm disappointed, though, because outside of a soundtrack release for Le Chevalier D'Eon, there really isn't anything that would add more incentive for me to pick up the second volume with the art box (which I will do).

ADV used to include t-shirt (FMP/Noir) with their artboxes back in the day, I was hoping that with this big push for this series that there would be some other extras. But I am happy that ADV is doing a good job of releasing this series in a timely matter with some well done historical notes.

It's been a long time since ADV included T-shirts (or panties) in any of their releases. They tend to go with on-disc extras and insert booklets with interviews and the like. Bandai tends to do T-shirts and/or CDs and Geneon tosses in various other things every once and while. Funi varies and has done all of the above.

They also did one for RahXephon two tone front side only which was released around the same time. The ADV shirts are nowhere as nice as the Bandai shirts. The image of the Noir shirt looks like a blurry screen cap. Really poor when compared to the really nice Witch Hunter Robin, or the colorful Hack Sign shirts. I actually like the shirts with the character images on them better than the more recent Fuka Academy and Gekko State (yucky color) shirts which I never wear. The Ghost in the Shell SAC are really gorgeous as well but seem to be more of an XXL than the XLs (which are also so big for me) that the other free shirts are. The free shirts that come with Japanese box sets (I love my X Japan shirt) seem to fit me much better.
