My biggest complaint about Semelparous is that it's a massive letdown after Ganma. The previous work of Ogino Jun was a creative Superhero manga that seemed to have the same premise as One-Punch-Man, but was able to develop as its own thing, with a great plot and cast full of colorful and likeable characters. It was Yuri too, but the romance was secondary, the focus was on the story and action.

I was very sad to see how Semelparous totally failed to follow the footsteps of it's predecessor.

Remember when Gene Simmons' son made a "manga" that was just stolen art and ideas from Bleach? This sounds like "What if he did that with AoT?".

The official Eng. title is a word that means to breed or reproduce only once in one's lifetime.

agreed, ogino was having a nice upwards trajectory with his works, this feels like a slump.

still worth point out that the "problems" are not really so if you are used or like fanservice related series.

I don’t know why anyone would want to copy AOT story writing much less Isayama’s art style.

To be fair, it's not like AOT is the most original thing around...

Most series aren't the most original things around; Bleach certainly wasn't. It's been said over and over in these threads, but nothing is created in a vacuum.
