I'm not familiar with source material, and have yet to see previous adaptation, but I just hope fans won't whine about their dear DEAD manga not being adapted properly.

BTW, those are some nice designs.

Whaaaaaat?? Well, can't say I ever would have guessed this would make a return. Really enjoyed the original OVA and most of what I read of the manga spoiler[the second half after the time skip kinda went crazy...]

Hopefully this will be a fun reboot. I wonder how they'll handle the names...

Honestly, this would be perfect for Netflix. Badass & sexy.

As I said previously...

"I'd bet money that the list [of what manga Netflix adapts into anime] is being compiled by men who watched anime on Adult Swim in the '90s or something but nothing since then."

Maybe, just MAYBE, Netflix will eventually greenlight yet-another Berserk TV anime.

The production of this anime has nothing to do with Netflix
It's Warner Bros. Japan
Netflix only has the right to broadcast it in world and bilibili has the right to broadcast this anime in China
I wonder how bilibili wants to stream this anime in China

If Netflix is producing it, it could either be good or a complete travesty.
I'm leaning towards the latter, since Bastard!! isn't really the most relevant series right now, but an actual fantasy anime would be a breath of fresh air in this isekai infested industry.

Oh good, I can't wait for another bastardized Netflix anime with stiff animation, underwhelming action scenes, and neutered storyline Rolling Eyes

I'm aware. It just that, Netflix and WB Japan have been buddy-buddy lately, what with most recent WBJ-produced titles end up on Netflix globally. Record of Ragnarok, Stone Ocean, and now this.
Maybe they're not in the production committee themselves, but I'd still like to think that in one way or another, Netflix is still a factor in the anime being made.

I hope this will be good! I remember very little from the OVA series but it was quite fun. Too bad it's netflix though, I can't afford another streaming service.

That's debatable, and Netflix doesn't have a lot to do with producing some of the anime shows they license: Record of Ragnarok is produced by Graphinica, and Stone Ocean is produced by David Production like previous JoJo Parts before. I think the distribution deal came way too late into production for the latter.

Yeah, it's really a shame that we can only watch this is if have a Netflix account.

I wish there existed some other way, but what can you do...

Alternatively, wait and see. And this is not quite Netflix produced.

I don't think that is a Netflix specific thing though. I mean of we go through most anime producers lineups, there will be a number of stickers
