I mean, his name is Grave - he used to be Brandon, at one point, but he's Grave now. So unless the creators of the trailer are doing an intricately elaborate thing where they expect old fans of this not-very-well-known-nowadays franchise to catch on and finish "Let's Go" with the old name of the main character even though it clearly addresses the viewer and not the character and go "har har let's go Brandon", or... ...yeah, I think this just means "Let's Go (Buy The Game Now)" And even if it was meant to address Grave-formerly-known-as-Brandon, it's kind of like - either they rename him, eschew the usage of the phrase "let's go" from the game altogether, or they shrug and understand that while the US is a huge market, so is the entire world that doesn't necessarly care about American political memes, if they're even aware of them in the first place. Anyway, while I really loved the old anime (despite all the mob drama clichés and the monster silliness in the second half, the chemistry between Brandon and Harry, and the acting really sold it), I could never get into the game, especially after I looked up the story there. This looks fun, though. |
