This season is going to be out of control, but just like MHA, I don't know why they're announcing "half year" stretches like this? Saying "2 cours" is fine?

Huh, I didn't know that cours is singular and plural.

This is funny to see considering the discussion in the MHA Season 6 thread.

As far as the visual, is that two Gojos in there?

I think the ANN reporters just prefer "half year without breaks" to "not a split cour"

Pretty sure it's supposed to be a "past and future" kind of deal.

Yeah, this news makes me a bit uneasy tbh. At this point, with all the projects they've taken on, it's getting harder to believe that MAPPA is just so much better run that they can handle all the anime they're producing, and conversely, is becoming more likely that the staff are bearing the brunt of all this work.

If we get an article on this site within the next half a year or so about a mass exodus/death by overwork/suicide of a staff member or members, I will be saddened, but not surprised.

Of course, it could be the case that MAPPA are doing good work because it cultivates a good workspace, like KyoAni, but like I said, that's seeming less and less likely by the day, especially considering the difference in the rate of output of those two studios.

Because saying it's two cours isn't the same thing as running for half a year without breaks. Spy x Family is two cours but it took a break in between.

It's just for clarity sake.

Man, anime-onlys have no idea how crazy and brutal the upcoming content is going to be.

ANN Newsroom staff try not to use "cours" in the headline of an article if we can help it, because more casual readers do not understand what the word means and we want our headlines to be accessible. This is why we also clarify that cours means "quarter of a year" for the first instance of the word in an article.

Glad to hear what the upcoming season will cover (it would be expected that the Shibuya Incident would be covered to some degree. Hopefully they films a good point to end the season on and don't have to overlap it with a handful of episodes in season 3. Now all we need is a release date (could be Spring or will more likely be Autumn again).

Unfortunately, the poor working conditions at MAPPA are already well known

So as of right now, Mappa is currently working on:

Chainsaw Man
Attack On Titan Final Season part 4
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2
Vinland Saga season 2

Think it might be time to slow the hell down?

Ah, gotcha. I assumed it was the original news sources using that terminology. Thanks!
